Happy Monday, friends—
I started Scribbles with the goal of learning how to share my most personal writing, requiring a lot of vulnerability and a good bit of courage before clicking the “publish” button. So many of you in this teeny lil group have been wonderfully supportive, and I can’t thank you enough.
I’m inviting you (all of you!) to a new project I launched today, “Bright Young Things,” about being in your twenties during the 2020s. The vision for BYT remains murky to me. It may take a more researched, journalistic approach than Scribbles, but I hope to maintain the same tone that has allowed me to connect with many of you.
Bright Young Things targets people navigating their early twenties, but even those of us who aren’t in that stage of life are still in the same boat, navigating this confusing, hard and topsy-turvy world. I hope you, no matter your age, can find something to relate to in each post.
There are three things you can do to support BYT today:
Read the first BYT post, linked here
Within the post, subscribe to Bright Young Things
Share the BYT post with one to three others, and invite them to subscribe as well
The fact that you voluntarily read my words blows my mind, and asking you to take the above steps is more than I should request. But you have shown such kindness in even being here at all, and I ask for your support not as a writer or blogger but as a friend.
What about Scribbles?
I’m figuring out what this new rhythm will look like, but I don’t plan on exiting this space any time soon. It’s far too precious to leave behind.
